1st Annual Woods/Snyder Tamalada

These are snapshots from our tamale making party on Saturday, December 11, 2010. If we enjoy the tamales, we will plan another Tamalada for next year. We didn't count closely, but I estimate that we made 6 dozen tamales to divide and take home. The Snyders made pork filling, Brittney made some good chicken/cheese filling, and I made some beef and pork filling. We all shared in the rest of the cooking at our house. We then enjoyed some good Fiesta Bake Casserole with salad and carrot cake while we waited for the tamales to steam. As usual, my blog pictures are not in sequential order.

The "Kid's Table" is no longer an appropriate name. We have three teenagers and one who will be 21 in January. Shall we call it the "Cousin's Table"? Pictured are Jessi, Brittney, Grant and Heather.
