Here is a remake of the sketchbook picture, Waiting at the Window. I tried drawing it in Watercolor pencil and I wasn't at all happy with the results. Then, I watched a video that showed some ways that Prismacolor NuPastel Color Sticks (hard pastels) could be used. As a result, I tried going over the watercolor pencil image with NuPastels used with water. Yes! I wet the color stick with a wet watercolor brush and used that as paint. Here are the results, together with a practice sample sheet - all from my sketchbook.
