The infirmary also served the local community, as they had no local hospital. The few beds on display in the "castle" are original equipment.

The few beds on display in the "castle" are original equipment.I would have loved to tour this facility before it was stripped of all it's glory and left to rot away. It was a beautiful building, beautiful setting and seemed to have turned out some boys with hope for a good future.

Wasn't that our old bath tub from the house on 20 ?
Interesting that they would still leave a place like that standing. Things were somewhat more down to earth in those days.
