Above is a project completed this afternoon in Color Theory class. The challenge was to create abstract patterns using colors cut from a magazine. I carried that idea further than requested by actually creating an abstract picture. Then, using a grid, I transferred the pattern from an 8" x 10" pasted format to a 16" x 20" canvas panel. The objective was to mix colors so as to match the original pasted up image. Though some of the color pieces on my collage were not uniform, I pretended that they were. Judging by my two snapshots, above, I'd say my efforts were pretty successful.
