I started studio lessons in pastel today and wouldn't you know, I forgot to take a photo reference with me to work from. The demonstration was wonderful and I will have to practice the instructor's methods on my own and again next week when I attend. But to fill the time with practice, I worked from memory today using the drawing for Saturday's drawing class. Didn't get the shadow right at all, but maybe you won't notice? You will see on Saturday when I post the graphite drawing. For this "abstract," as the instructor called it, I paid a lot of my attention to experimenting with color. I kind of like it.
