Watercolor on 12" by 16" Paper
January 2005
This quaint village scene is a part of Vietnam that may be vanishing as a great deal of modernization has been happening in that country. I took the photo reference snapshot for this watercolor in 1996. I was walking across an old worn pedestrian bridge - too narrow for our car - and felt privileged to see this beautiful village. Yes, that's a river! A muddy one, but beautiful nevertheless. I have other versions of this picture redone in pen and ink.
