This is another of my old watercolor paintings. This one shows the beautiful valley I used to see every morning as I enjoyed coffee from my deck. Some of California's best history can be told about this lovely area in San Jose.

Welcome to Barbara's Sketch Book and Photo Album!

At last! My own personal place to show off my work and speak my mind. This is like a giant refrigerator for me, where I can paste up my daily sketches. No, they are not great sketches, but to me they are memorable. I'm a student artist. This blogspot will be my incentive to keep working and growing in my fine art skills. My goal is to post daily, or almost daily sketches. Sometimes I may post small format paintings or even larger works. My best work is in pastel portraits, but you won't see many of them here. When I get lazy with sketching, I will probably be out snapping pictures for possible photo reference. I aim for good composition as well as interesting content in my snapshots. You will probably see a lot of these. So welcome to my page! I hope you will come back often.
