UC Davis Arboretum and Moon Garden

August 2, 2009 - Another beautiful night under an almost full moon. This time I hiked with the Meetup-Trailmix group at the UC Davis Arboretum. About half-way through the evening we stopped for an hour to socialize under the Gazebo at the Moon Garden. The tradition of planting moon gardens with white flowers is described on the sign pictured here. White flowers show up on moonlit evenings and some, if not all, become most fragrant at that time. Lovely evening with a nice group of people. Glad I took my flashlight though!
